RMR or "Resting Metabolic Rate"
This represents the number of calories that an individual will burn throughout the day at rest. A higher RMR means that your body is working more efficiently. To give an example, if an individual has an RMR of around 1600cal/day and they consume around 1600 in a given day then there is generally no weight loss or gain. However, if this same person on a given day consumes around 2000 cal/day and their RMR is around 1600cal/day then what happens? This individual will begin to put on weight. Through meal timing and proper exercise planning a person can elevate their RMR and not only burn calories with more ease, but also maintain a higher more sustainable energy level throughout the day.
Workout
The workout being used in this program has been designed for maximum efficiency given societal constraints upon a busy person’s time in today’s world. This workout is a circuit-style program designed to shape and tone all of the muscles in the body giving a person added strength while maintaining an elevated heart rate to burn maximal calories. The goal of the program is to reduce body size and body fat while increasing functionality. This program is not just for fitness, but also longevity.
Body Balancing
This is a technique developed by Holisticfitness4U to bring maximal functionality to the body. It is done by treating each muscle of the body with significance as all of the muscles play an important role. It has been found that muscles in the body are antagonistic towards one another and that an underdeveloped or overdeveloped muscle can cause an imbalance within the body. These imbalances manifest as aches and pains in the shoulder, lower back, neck, and knees. The goal of this technique is realign all of the muscles in the body and reduce aches and pains.
Form
It has been further found that good posture promotes longevity. Holisticfitness4u puts special emphasis upon form and breathing throughout the workout. Spinal correctness is key to utilizing gym equipment and isolating proper muscle groups. Done correctly, exercises can help to correct posture and reduce any aches and pains. Done incorrectly, exercises can aggravate any aches and pains or imbalances that exist within the body.
Cardio
Maintaining a regular cardio vascular regiment is essential for a healthy heart and clean cardio vascular system. Doing regular cardio also helps in the elevation of your RMR and caloric consumption in general, thus making it easier to burn fat.
